So, figure we'd better make sure this radio actually works. Hellooooo convoy, this is Yang Xiao Long, in the yellow and black muscle car. You all picking this up, or am I just talking to myself here?

[He heaved a sigh.]
Woodstock was a music festival that a lot of young people who were dissatisfied with the way that the world was going went to. They had their own culture of sharing what they had and working together.
People make fun of the Deadheads-- fans of a band called the Grateful Dead, one of the popular groups at the time, but they had a point.
... They liked vehicles like the one I found because they're fairly easy to keep in good repair without needing a mechanic. If they had a few tools and the part they needed, they could do it in in a parking lot somewhere.

Sounds like a group of people I'd have gotten along with. What kinda music?
That'll come in handy. Can't believe these vehicles won't need work sooner or later, so the more uncomplicated they are to fix, the better.
[Good thing Yang was able to scavenge some tools and get a bit of a repair kit started back at the gas station.]

I know there was a lot of tapes in here--
[There's a distorted, static sound over the radio as he leaned in and shuffled through the mess in the center console.]
I know I saw-- here.
[He popped the tape into the deck, and after a moment the twang of a funky guitar could be heard.]
... It's been a while since I listened. I'm on the opposite side of an ocean for this to be regularly played on the radio. The Internet has made international access a lot easier.
