There were many guns and ammo with the raiders.
Bring them to me. If you found tools and cleaning supplies for them, bring them with you. I will inspect them. Repair them if it's possible. Show you how to care for them. I'll also trade ammo for the correct one for your weapon. I will show you how to use the weapon and handle it safely, provided you take it seriously.
You can also trade ammunition, guns, and parts you don't want for other electronics and items I gathered from the raiders.
[ There is also some minor details, such as where to find him in the Convoy, when he's willing to meet. Looks like he's commandeering one of the shop spaces in the second set of trains, though he doesn't appear to leave any 'stock' there. ]
That's all I have to say.
[ No name, no description of himself. If a person stops by the shop, be treated to the sight of a relatively new Drifter, pale skin, red eyes, dark hair and wrapped in a red cloak. He doesn't seem to have any physical signs of changes unless you count the ones he came in to the world as changes. Certainly possible. There are an assortment of firearms and ammo as well as several electronics, wires, random bits though they are almost certainly a sample of what he might have collected. ]

Let's see your rifle.
[ He sounds calm. While he doesn't have a particularly soothing tone, it's not aggressive either. Even. Practical. As far as the request goes, there shouldn't be anything out of the ordinary about it. Other than checking to make sure care has been taken and he's not just handing out ammo to anyone- there was hardly time to check that the first time they met- it's important to make sure there's no limits on the type of .303 it can handle. ]
Got a kit to maintain it?

Nothing official, just what I've managed to pick up here and back home. I can field strip and reassemble it in minutes. I clean it at least once a day.
[Sometimes he just takes it apart, cleans it, and puts it back together again to give him something to do. He doesn't have to think when he's working on it.]

And all that regular effort at taking care of and maintaining the weapon the boy's done is going to be much a mark in favor; even some good soldiers can forget how regular upkeep might need to be changed based on circumstance and environment. Overall, the inspection is ended with a faint nod and an approving air. The rifle is placed back on the counter. ]
I might have a few rounds. Just not many.
[ He'll turn around to fetch what few he has; and honestly, it's no more than five or six rounds. ]
Back home, there was a rifle like this. Not really used much even when I was active. It was modified a few decades earlier to accept a more standard round.
[ Levi mentioned he has some pieces of a kit. Vincent will add some clean rags and fill a bottle of solvent and oil to add to the collection. ]
You're probably running low. Here. For your rifle, I think you're better off getting it upgraded. Just need to find out if anyone here has the equipment to machine parts. I plan to ask around.

When the gun is put down he picks it back up again and straps it to his back.]
Its not my only gun, just the one I've used the most. I definitely can't take it out every time I go hunting or trouble comes, but it came here with me.
[He puts the rounds and the supplies into his satchel.]
Thank you. Its not always easy to find useful things here.
...I've never thought about upgrading it. I've had to repair these, sometimes with anything we could find, but I've never thought about upgrading...I'm not sure that was even a thing we could do...
[Not with the supplies they had on the front, at least.]
