There were many guns and ammo with the raiders.

Bring them to me. If you found tools and cleaning supplies for them, bring them with you. I will inspect them. Repair them if it's possible. Show you how to care for them. I'll also trade ammo for the correct one for your weapon. I will show you how to use the weapon and handle it safely, provided you take it seriously.

You can also trade ammunition, guns, and parts you don't want for other electronics and items I gathered from the raiders.

[ There is also some minor details, such as where to find him in the Convoy, when he's willing to meet. Looks like he's commandeering one of the shop spaces in the second set of trains, though he doesn't appear to leave any 'stock' there. ]

[ No name, no description of himself. If a person stops by the shop, be treated to the sight of a relatively new Drifter, pale skin, red eyes, dark hair and wrapped in a red cloak. He doesn't seem to have any physical signs of changes unless you count the ones he came in to the world as changes. Certainly possible. There are an assortment of firearms and ammo as well as several electronics, wires, random bits though they are almost certainly a sample of what he might have collected. ]

[After the lack of usable weaponry and ammunition they could stock in their journey so far, the raid on the Convoy seems to have practically rained supplies of them in comparison. It's been a long time since he's had a gun in hand -- thanks to losing his when he crossed the threshold between worlds again -- and now that the option is there...

There are some circumstances where a longer ranged weapon would be more useful than his demon's abilities.

When Serph arrives at the gun filled shop space, he nods in acknowledgement of the other drifter manning it.]

I'm after a gun.

[Since the radio announcement had mentioned trading, he adds-]

What will you take in exchange for one?

[ There is a nod in kind. It's simple. Vincent also remembers this guy though nothing in particular acknowledges this. ]

That's going to depend on why you want a gun, how well you know it and what you have.

[ Even if he's willing to teach, Vincent is not so kind as to hand out guns to just anyone who comes asking. Or indeed, anyone who seems eager to learn but doesn't have the right mindset to respect the weapon for what it is. ]

[Easy enough questions to answer.]

Guns cover a range that my demon doesn't. [It gives him more options, basically.] I was made to handle such weaponry. Before I gained my demon, guns were how we fought.

[He's literally used them all his life. As for trade...]

Most of what I have is meat hunted from monsters. If you are in need of clothing or something made, I can ask my roommate.

[ Vincent tilts his head. ]

What type of firearm are you used to?

[Given the differences across worlds, specificity is probably meaningless. He doesn't recognise the weapons used by the raiders, only the general class of them, so with that in mind...]

My primary choice are assault rifles. I carried a semi-automatic pistol as a sidearm.

[ After a short, thoughtful pause, Vincent turns to a spot behind a counter. Scrap has been shaped into a crate. Unlike some examples he has on display, the rifle he pulls out has yet to be serviced.

This was intentional.

It is placed before Serph. Then Vincent picks up a kit for cleaning and servicing firearms and puts that down beside the weapon. ]

Show me.

[ The message is clear. Vincent wants to see if Serph understands one of the absolute fundamentals; disassembling and maintaining the weapon. ]

[Hm. A rifle. That's more Argilla's area of expertise. But it's not like he's unfamiliar with them, either. He takes a moment to examine the weapon's construction; he doesn't know the exact make of this but it bears common hallmarks of what he knows.

Silently he steps forward, pulling his wings back so they're out of the way. It's been months since he's had to service a weapon but it comes back to him the moment the rifle is in his hands. It's muscle memory that he disassembles the rifle to clean it, working methodically and thoroughly as though it was just another routine maintenance. It doesn't take him long to finish servicing the rifle and when he's done he places it back down before stepping back so Vincent can examine his work.]

[ And so Vincent does. He watched from beginning to end and now he's checking the actions and switches to be sure all has been fitted neatly. The rifle is put down again but this time, to the side. He's not going to offer that particular one to Serph; it's not what was favored.

A cleaned and presumably prepared assault rifle is placed before Serph. It's soon followed by a pistol sidearm. One spare magazine or clip for each is soon added. Of course they're not brand new. But it will become clear they're now in excellent working order. ]

Look them over while I get the ammo. See if they suit.

[ Vincent's tone sounds almost bored. But it's clear he's accepted the test as proof. ]
