[V has been a somewhat scarce presence, as far as most of the Convoy can be concerned.
But for once, they have something to say to more than just one person at a time.]
I've been considering the merits of establishing a library, within one of the rooms on the Convoy.
Is anyone opposed? Or, are there any books people arrived with that they are comfortable donating?
[Like the digital storage the Convoy contains, physical books are valuable.]

You have to tell me if you get any comics in stock.
Re: Voice
I will be sure to do that, but I will first need to know what I should be looking for.
I have experience with books from my home world, but not comics. At least, I do not believe so.
[Voice]
[Honestly, books have been the last thing on his mind ever since he came here, perhaps understandably so. But he's always loved libraries.]
Re: [Voice]
... Some people have brought books with them.
[But more than that, V won't elaborate. That wouldn't be polite.]
[Voice]
Guess I should have figured as much. Any clue as to the subjects?
I wish I had some books on me at the time. I have my phone. No books on it, but...I have a few movies?
Re: [Voice]
[Or missing, no thanks to the raiders...]
I've not much experience with 'films'. They're another kind of video media?
[First SecUnit, now Donnie.]
[Voice]
[And then he has to stare a moment. Someone who's never heard of movies????]
Yes, for entertainment purposes, mainly. If we find a good place where we can have some decent downtime, I can show you.
Re: [Voice]
[Then V sounds curious.]
I've experience with genre work, but mostly just in writing.
[Voice]
Okay, I will admit, things have not been looking very promising there so far.
-some things, you just need to see and enjoy the presentation.
Re: [Voice]
[To their credit, V does sound a little amused.]
SecUnit did find a solid-screen to display media on, though the device relies on battery power.
[Voice]
Re: [Voice]
Aren't there many kinds of batteries?
[Though on reflection, the raiders making EVERYTHING they used mutually compatible... makes a sort of sense. V's used to it being more particular/complicated, though.]

Re: [Voice]
[One tech-type to another.]

I can contribute a few digital files in exchange for whatever else comes in.
[New media. If there's one thing it's hated about this planet it's the lack of accessible downloads, and as far as it's heard from Blake the books have mostly been illegible.]
Re: [voice]
[Rather than keeping the media entirely divided on such lines.]

[Having cameras in its eyes means it can run a background algorithm to digitize it, given appropriate footage, but it doesn't have the means to do the reverse. Or the inclination, honestly. Physical media can get lost or destroyed. If its media archives are destroyed, then... let's be real it's probably dead.]
no subject
Only if it's deemed necessary, though.
[Because physical media takes up more space!]
no subject
How would you do it?
[Physical transcription sounds costly in both material and time.]
no subject
[Though if some digital audio files don't already have captions, it may be a service in and of itself to provide them...]

[But not everyone here is as well-versed in using tech, more's the pity.]

I can code a file converter. If you really need it.
[V better understand what making an offer like this actually means! It doesn't offer to do work to just anyone, let alone non-essential security work. Doing it to look efficient and good at its job in the moment is one thing, but promising future work is something it usually requires a contract for.]
no subject
It would depend on demand, certainly. And the offer is very much appreciated. It won't have to be ready any time soon, however.
... Thank you.
no subject
[And, in typical SecUnit fashion, it's entirely ready to immediately brush past that.]
