[For those who have spoken to him before, Imhotep's voice is not quite as measured as it usually is. There's a touch of panic there that might otherwise be easy to miss.]

Some strange curse has befallen my friend!

He is breathing, but will not wake. What is even more concerning is that his skin has become shiny. It is as though he is slowly turning into alu-min-um. I have used a healing spell, multiple times, and it has had no effect at all.

This is not natural. I must admit that I need guidance in this matter. Or a bottle of wine.

It is his skin, or else I might have tried to remove it.

He simply did not wake in the morning, and already had hardened skin when I tried to rouse him. I do not think anything unusual happened to him, but I cannot know for sure.

I...I don't know what it could be. I've heard that there are instances where there's like...bodies of people and animals covered in metal but I don't know about people themselves turning into metal... I haven't been here long.

I have seen some of those as we traveled, and the ones on the tower. Could this be some kind of metal-sickness?

Do not worry yourself. Djoser is still breathing, and does not seem to be in pain. If this change remains gradual, I may yet find a way to stop it.

Inconclusive without more data. At least, I haven't heard anyone else saying they were experiencing something similar.

Do you think it could be another sort of monster thing? Like with the other changes that have been happening?

Perhaps? Though no one I have spoken to so far made mention of slipping into a coma. Even my own changes simply happened and went away just as quickly.

First I've heard of it as well. Can't say I've been so lucky about the changes though. Some have...stuck.
