[It's been a couple of days after the beginnings of the expeditions into the strange complex. The radios click to life as they always do late one night, but there's a bit of low-buzzing static, like the hum of a connection struggling to remain steady.]

...Anyone mind filling me in on what the FUCK is going on??

Nothing in the files I read mentioned combining into some super-monster and getting a direct mental link all the while. I would have appreciated a little heads up ahead of time!

[A sigh. It's exhausted.]

...Also- anybody find any cigarettes lately? I'm all out and need to bum one. Or trade for it. Whatever.

I've had it happen too. Fortunately, I fused with a dear friend, so it didn't feel particularly invasive.

Must have been nice! Shame the weird new forms go out of control, though. If where we're going is what we're seeing out there, I'd like to not be caught with my pants down if we're heading right for a tussle.

To a degree. Got a little distracting, what with the imagery going on. I was seeing moments I was miles away from, so I can only assume they were... from... the guy I mashed with. INTO! Mashed into. Fused. [FUCK.]

Sounds as though it's all well that ends well, then, since you're here to tell the story. It seems the fusions only happen when facing a threat larger and more dangerous than usual.

I suppose the dracula dragon was a bit extra testy compared to others I bumped into. But I can't say I enjoy the uncontrolled aspect of its triggering. My memories are my own business.

I've fused a few times and so long as both parties are focused, there don't seem to be issues.

The experiences have been brief at best, fusions only lasting so long as a fight. Being of the same mind and focused on the prey seemed sufficient in staying on task.

That's my thought, actually. Gets tricky when you consider they're basically everywhere...

Even the fuel we're stuffing in the truck, too. Being near the pumps made my skin crawl a bit.
