Serph had heard Jack talking about being a werewolf on the radio. Knowing the hesitation that Jack had before divulging that information to him when they first met, he wonders what courage Jack had found to talk about it more openly. He hopes Jack receives the response he wants... and if anyone hurts Jack for it, then he'd personally step in.

It's some time later that Serph shows up at Jack's shop, stepping across the threshold but not much further in.

"I heard your radio message," he says quietly by way of greeting. "Has anyone given you trouble?"
