In the interest of clarity for new arrivals, myself among them, I have a few questions that may seem blatantly obvious to everyone who's been here longer.

Am I understanding correctly that many of us here are being transformed into something else, much like the rain's temporary effects had on us recently?

Is this likely to happen to everyone?

Does it have anything to do with the brands we have been given? 'Runes'

Does anyone know how to repair a broken driver's side window for a M939 truck?

Finally, if you are obviously nonhuman, changed or naturally so, please leave a note as to what you look like so I know you are considered an ally and not an active threat.

Given the creatures that attacked in the storm, and earlier messages suggesting they may have once 'been like us', I do not wish to make a mistake.

I've heard it gets much worse, particularly when moon pieces fall to the ground. Still wrapping my head around that one.

And thank you for your consideration; my brother and I are both humanoid turtles in appearance, green scales, shells, blue and purple masks- would much appreciate not being attacked.

Is the convoy adequate cover versus meteorites?

The glass was destroyed by recent monster attacks. It appears the mechanisms within are still intact.

Note made. I believe I've seen similar beings before, we call them 'sahagin'. But they are not interested in writing. Or coexisting.

I don't think it's quite meteorites. Being newly arrived myself, I can only convey what I have been informed. They're called "Moon Warps", and they expedite whatever changes we may otherwise expect to be affected by, as well as increase the appearance of aggressive monsters that will also be a threat. I've been told most of the changes are temporary but there is a chance of losing cognizance of oneself during such occurrences.

You're going to need a new glass then. I don't know if this convoy thing has any spares, but if we can salvage one off of an unused vehicle, I can probably size it to fit.

Well, we're clearly not sahagin. We're mutant turtles and usually don't have problems with coexisting so long as no one comes at us with pitchforks or otherwise.

Indeed you are not. If you were we would not be having a conversation at all and I imagine by now you'd have eaten somebody. This is infinitely superior.

Malfunctioning gravity. Yes I can see how that would be alarming.

I mean, how else does one explain shards of the moon suddenly just falling?? Although I imagine that should also prompt other gravitational problems but who knows what laws of physics actually apply in this place?

I would have assumed, perhaps wrongly, that the pieces which fell were already in a decaying orbit, and were not part of the seemingly stable path the bulk of the debris field possesses.

Stranger that there aren't more signs of prolonged bombardment.

That...could be possible. It seems like there are only so many data points to reference by to really know. The person I spoke to about it has only been here a couple months before us.

the monsters don't look human and they never talk. they also always attack immediately, so you're probably better classifying anyone who isn't being hostile as not an active threat.

With the state of the building I was 'summoned' to, I don't imagine we're about to stumble over detailed astrophysics records, unfortunately. Speculation is in the end all we have.

Hopefully one does not descend that is large enough to reduce everything for miles to molten oblivion.

I am well used to monsters clever enough to lay traps and feign disinterest only long enough for their prey to get close. It's not something I'm inclined to assume never happens here, as that would be about when it does.

they've never done that here, just attacked on sight, sometimes enmass.

just don't start attacking people if they don't look human. most of us don't look fully human anymore.

there are a number of us familiar with combat here. its more a warning thank a suggestion. don't attack people without cause, looking weird is not a cause.

You already know what 'human' is, but for the sake of the exercise:

Adult male furless primate-derivative, gray hair, green eyes, pale skin. Approximately six and a half feet tall, approximately three hundred pounds. Ordinarily clad in black clothing.
