In the interest of clarity for new arrivals, myself among them, I have a few questions that may seem blatantly obvious to everyone who's been here longer.

Am I understanding correctly that many of us here are being transformed into something else, much like the rain's temporary effects had on us recently?

Is this likely to happen to everyone?

Does it have anything to do with the brands we have been given? 'Runes'

Does anyone know how to repair a broken driver's side window for a M939 truck?

Finally, if you are obviously nonhuman, changed or naturally so, please leave a note as to what you look like so I know you are considered an ally and not an active threat.

Given the creatures that attacked in the storm, and earlier messages suggesting they may have once 'been like us', I do not wish to make a mistake.

You are not as yet an unnatural creature, though it seems this planet intends to change that. Don't believe every rumor you hear about SOLDIER, most of it is pure propaganda to frighten opponents.

Angeal believed our bonds to each other helps maintain our humanity, instead of becoming the organic killing machines Shinra desired. I don't see why it shouldn't work here, even if the risk is fangs and talons instead of metaphor.

You should seek allies amongst the convoy.

My original world was a creation of another world, which we knew as Nirvana. This Nirvana's sun is corrupted and its rays turn humans to stone.

My transformation comes from the Atma virus. Those of my original world was infected with it and we were changed immediately. It was a test. Those with the virus won't turn to stone.

it has worked well enough for me so far

and they have not gone anywhere since they appeared. they appear to be permanent, so far. some people have other permanent new things too, and some people only have them during environmental events like the moon warp or the storm.

The people of 'Nirvana' must have been very powerful, to create entire worlds.

It must be of some relief to know no-one here is turning to stone.

[..But on the other hand who would know if they DIDN'T have a virus turning them into monsters, preventing the sun from killing them? This is a new thought, and one Sephiroth considers carefully.]

But the other similarities, including becoming inhuman creatures, is an interesting commonality. I wonder if your experiences in a similar setting would be beneficial to us.

It helps with the transformations. Everyone reacts differently to being forcibly changed or losing control.

we have only been here a couple months so far and we have been getting information but slowly and it does not always make sense or give us much infight

You've already gotten a few answers, by the looks of it, but yes. I don't believe there is any escaping transformations. Merely delaying them, or perhaps reverting singular changes under the right circumstances.

Jayce-san and I have been gathering information regarding our circumstances, and there are at least some who consider the transformations as gifts from the moon.

Additionally, I made a post last month detailing my findings.

My current hypothesis is that the monsters that emerge from Husks used to be ordinary people, but something, be it "stasis" or some other grim fate, robbed them of their humanity. The tenants suggest that our sigils may protect us against this stasis, but bear in mind that we are working with scattered puzzle pieces, so this information is all subject to change.

Lastly, since I have changed rather distinctly, please refrain from attacking a brown haired boy covered in black feathers, with talons, large wings, and large horns. I should think my attire makes it clear that I'm not an active threat, but I'd rather err on the side of caution.

Unsurprising. Different countries or even different people documenting the same event often gets very different stories, but I appreciate all I can get my hands on, so to speak. How many moon warps have there been so far?
