Well, obviously this world's technological advancements are nothing to scoff at. The convoy speaks for itself, to say nothing of those Chromehounds.
I just believe there may be a bit of both at play, especially given my own experiences during the last Moon Warp.
Severe anatomical changes, the ability to breathe fire, all coinciding with shards of the moon falling from the heavens.
All this talk of rituals and blessings strike me more as fantasy conventions, intermixed with science fiction.
